As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing and supporting all Field Operations Engineering teams, activities, and practices to maintain optimal performance of our network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of engineers to carry out company and departmental strategy, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Be the trusted advisor and subject matter expert representing Regional Engineering across all of Midco.
  • Work collaboratively with Technology Engineering to determine the best technologies and best practices for Midco.
  • Establish engineering practices and protocols and ensure consistency across all Regional teams and the organization.
  • Ensure that the practices and procedures for all Regional Engineering teams support the best performance of the Midco network.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to keep our teams knowledgeable, efficient, and safe.
  • Develop and implement maintenance programs, escalations procedures, and loss of service response practices.
  • Ensure all regional teams respond to local network problems appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Oversee team work assignments and ensure adequate staffing levels for the Regional Engineering teams.
  • Identify practices and protocols that help our teams troubleshoot problems in the regional network.
  • Produce timely and accurate reports.
  • Provide timely performance feedback and daily coaching. Perform annual reviews and effectively manage disciplinary and/or performance problems.
  • Possess knowledge of Midco's First Time Right standards and safety program, Target Zero. Practice and enforce safety rules and procedures.
  • Operate and drive a Company vehicle safely, courteously, and defensively in accordance with Midco's Use of Vehicle for Company Business policy.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
  • Adhere to Midco's privacy guidelines to ensure each customer's privacy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Five years (minimum) experience in the telecommunications engineering industry is required.
  • Three to five years of supervisory or managerial experience required. Leadership experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of telecommunications engineering standards, the National Electrical Code, OSHA regulations, state and local regulations, and general safety standards.
