Key Responsibilities- Provide expert legal advice and guidance on corporate governance, corporate securities, and lobbying activities.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings, if necessary, and develop and implement legal strategies and policies to protect the organization's interests.
- Coordinate with outside counsel, as needed, and stay updated on current legislation and legal trends that may impact the organization.
- Provide training and guidance to the organization on legal matters and participate in the decision-making process, providing legal insights and perspectives.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Member in good standing with the state bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Proven experience in corporate governance, corporate securities, and lobbying.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of laws and regulations related to non-profits.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- High ethical standards and professionalism.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
