Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Echo Technician to join our team at Methodist Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound exams to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Acquire and prepare patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Operate and maintain advanced ultrasound equipment, including echocardiogram machines and other diagnostic tools.
  • Perform a range of cardiac ultrasound exams, including 2D, M-mode, color Doppler, and pulsed wave Doppler imaging.
  • Assist cardiologists with procedures, such as transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and carotid imaging.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient exams, including images and reports.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
Requirements
  • Registry eligibility for RDCS/RDMS-FE from ARDMS or RCS from CCI.
  • Associate's degree or higher in a patient-care related allied health education program, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in cardiac or vascular ultrasound, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
