Position Overview: The Senior Cybersecurity Software Architect plays a critical role in establishing and enforcing software cybersecurity protocols within Torc's Cybersecurity Management System. This position involves close collaboration with various teams, including Development and Operational Tools, as well as Product Engineering and Release, to enhance the software cybersecurity components of the Torc Safety Case and management system. A profound understanding of software security principles and a proactive mindset towards integrating security measures throughout the product lifecycle are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and uphold comprehensive software security methodologies for internal projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and organizational goals.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards regarding software security tasks, including static and dynamic analysis, fuzz testing, code reviews, and tool management.
  • Document and maintain essential processes, procedures, and training related to key software security activities within the cybersecurity management framework.
  • Create and deliver training sessions for software engineers on software security protocols.
  • Conduct code reviews with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to integrate security into their software development processes.
  • Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, continuously refining our software security strategies.
  • Engage with external software security vendors and partners to ensure effective integration of third-party security solutions.
  • Prepare and present evidence for the Safety Case to demonstrate product readiness from a software security perspective.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on software security practices and serve as a resource for expert guidance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years focused on software security.
  • In-depth knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization.
  • Strong grasp of software cybersecurity verification and validation techniques, including static analysis and fuzz testing.
  • Familiarity with secure development lifecycles (SDL), such as the Microsoft SDL or similar frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven success in implementing effective cybersecurity solutions within product development.
  • Analytical and logical thinking skills to identify issues and propose solutions for enhancing cybersecurity in autonomous vehicles.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for collaboration with partners.
  • Commitment to ongoing technical education and a passion for advancing knowledge in the cybersecurity field.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project demands, including extended hours when necessary.
  • Able to collaborate effectively across different time zones.
