Leidos is seeking a Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team, focusing on a Department of Defense initiative aimed at integrating multiple large-scale enterprise resource planning systems into a unified, state-of-the-art platform.


This project is currently in the prototype phase, where our team is tasked with delivering the prototype environment while collaborating closely with cybersecurity experts to secure an Authority to Operate (ATO) for production.


As part of an elite group of server and systems specialists, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment for mission-critical systems.


Key Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

  • Design and implement cloud-first and Azure-native architectures.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and leverage cloud-native and shared services in an automated manner.
  • Apply DevSecOps principles to create auto-scaled architectures.
  • Manage and configure mixed Windows and Linux environments.
  • Utilize modern coding practices, continuous integration pipelines, and automation-first methodologies.
  • Engage in Agile processes to organize your work into two-week sprints and participate in daily scrum meetings.
  • Integrate with common services provided by the Government cloud broker.
  • Configure and optimize cloud-based monitoring solutions to ensure infrastructure health.
  • Support the security accreditation process by implementing necessary security controls, completing STIG checklists, and addressing security scan findings.


Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree along with 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Interim DoD Secret Clearance or a higher security clearance.
  • Experience as a Cloud Engineer (Azure), including cloud migration, networking, identity and access management (IAM), cloud optimization, and deployment automation (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Familiarity with cloud-first, Azure-native architectures and cloud PaaS & SaaS services, such as databases.
  • Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language.
  • A commitment to adopting and adhering to best practices.
  • The ability to effectively plan and prioritize tasks.
  • Capability to deliver high-quality work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to positively interact, collaborate, and communicate with team members.
  • Compliance with baseline 8570 certification (IAT Level II) such as CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP.


Preferred Qualifications:
Additional qualifications that would be beneficial include:

  • Knowledge in complex application integration.
  • AWS or Azure certifications, with a preference for professional-level certifications or associate-level certifications combined with relevant experience.


Compensation:
The pay range for this position is between $101,000 and $183,300. This range serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation. Factors influencing the final offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
