Customer Service Leader Job Description

At Food Lion, we're committed to providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. As a Customer Service Leader, you'll play a critical role in achieving this goal by delivering fast, easy, flexible, and friendly service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly service to customers, creating a positive shopping experience
  • Greet each customer by name and engage with them to build a rapport
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to Food Lion's high standards
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of office functions, including cash handling and reporting
  • Stay up-to-date on office procedures, including cash reports, register checkups, deposits, and other essential tasks
  • Perform tasks as a sales associate when scheduled or as needed, adhering to surge plan guidelines
  • Assist with customer leads as needed to maintain service standards
  • Be courteous and helpful to other associates, promoting a positive work environment
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
  • Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center
  • Meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions
  • Perform repetitive hand and arm motions
  • Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 lbs. continuously, 25 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. on occasion
  • Pull or push up to 75 lbs. on occasion
  • Stand 100% of the time, frequently walking short distances
