Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at a correctional facility in Phoenix, Arizona. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver nursing care in structured routine situations, free of scientific complexity.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including preparing patients for surgery, diagnostic tests, and treatments.
  • Administer medications within the scope of practice, collect and process specimens accurately, and identify and set up intravenous equipment.
  • Recognize and report pertinent observations, treatments, and medications to the Registered Professional Nurse, and record same on appropriate documents.
  • Contribute to patient care conferences and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Assist in emergency resuscitative procedures and document nursing care delivered on appropriate forms.
Requirements
  • Completion of an educational program for licensure as a LPN.
  • LPN licensure and Basic Life Saver (BLS) certification.
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV insertion.
  • 1 year of experience in an emergency department setting.
