Job Title: Regional Travel Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Regional Travel Nurse to join our team at New Season Treatment Centers. As a Regional Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) in our treatment centers across the region.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Medical Director or Registered Nurse, you will participate in the promotion and restoration of patients' health, collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and provide support to patients. Your primary responsibilities will include administering medication, conducting daily medication counts, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the proper disposal of medical waste.

Essential Functions:
  • Administer medication pursuant to physician order and record dosage administered in the medical record.
  • Conduct daily medication counts and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure the proper disposal of medical waste.
  • Communicate patient issues or concerns to the Medical Director or Registered Nurse.
  • Perform daily cash reconciliation and ensure all cash collected is given to the Program Director.
  • Receives and ensures the accuracy of incoming medication shipments.
  • Interfaces with the public and patients by answering phones, greeting visitors, and monitoring patient activities.
Other Responsibilities:

For Minnesota staff only: responsible for satisfying Freedom from Chemical Use Problems.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Has and maintains required nursing licensure within the state in which work is being done.
  • Understanding of opiate addiction, medical terminology, and general nursing knowledge and techniques.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Standing most of the time. Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.

Working Conditions:
  • Ability to operate in an open work area with moderate everyday noise.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% with limited notice, including overnight and multiple days.
Mental Activities:

Ability to resolve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
