Role Overview

The OSP Engineer will engage in a variety of responsibilities, primarily focusing on:

  • Engineering line extensions for service orders
  • Managing pole replacements and facility installations
  • Conducting facility relocations

This role requires a strong familiarity with OSP design and planning, alongside construction methodologies. The Engineer will also be tasked with performing cost analyses to identify the most economical and efficient strategies for placing communication infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties include:

  • Conducting relocations and site surveys
  • Preparing work order packages, which encompass field notes, cut sheets, schematics, and obtaining necessary permits and rights-of-way
  • Performing detailed cost analyses for optimal facility placement
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in aerial, buried, and underground outside plant
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in computer applications
  • A diverse background in fieldwork
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision

This position includes all essential tools and equipment, such as a vehicle, communication devices, and safety gear, to facilitate effective field operations.
