Position Overview

This role involves applying advanced expertise in managing cyber risks effectively. The analyst will tackle problems and projects of varying complexity and scope, necessitating a thorough evaluation of multiple factors. Independent judgment is exercised within broadly defined policies and practices to determine optimal methods for achieving work objectives. The position encompasses security initiatives that may require extensive analysis of diverse factors. The analyst will demonstrate proficiency and practical knowledge in cyber risk management, policies, standards, mitigations, and controls. Leadership may be exercised in team settings, providing guidance and facilitating decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts analysis, documentation, reporting, and validation of the effectiveness of security standards, policies, requirements, and controls, leading information security initiatives and projects of moderate complexity.
  • Exhibits both technical and non-technical expertise, influencing the immediate team within assigned information security domains (Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover) and participating in cross-functional collaborations.
  • May lead the execution of security initiatives and projects of moderate complexity, representing the team to various stakeholders.
  • Engages with team members and external organizations, customers, and vendors on intricate cyber-related issues.
  • Ensures comprehension of information security policies and standards, assisting the business in risk assessment and application of relevant standards and policies.
  • Consults with team members and external parties on complex cyber-related matters.
Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year institution.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and/or training is required.

Additional Information

A general understanding of information security and demonstrated analytical skills is essential. Intermediate proficiency in one or more information security domains (Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover) is expected. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration within a geographically diverse team. A solid understanding of contemporary information security standards, capabilities, and practices is required, along with knowledge of cyber threat and vulnerability analysis, and risk mitigation strategies. Attention to detail is crucial.
