About the Role

The State of Idaho is seeking a highly skilled GIS Analyst III to join our Property Tax Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for mapping and analyzing geographic information systems to ensure property taxes are administered fairly and equitably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tax Code Area (TCA) mapping, including receiving annexation/boundary requests, analyzing, mapping, and finalizing.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to perform GIS workflows, including data management, conversion, creation, editing, analysis, and sharing.
  • Maintain and update ArcGIS online webmaps.
  • Provide GIS and cadastral mapping support to the Property Tax Division and county mapping personnel.
  • Support the GIS Education program.

Requirements

  • Considerable knowledge of GIS, including analysis, data capture, and data conversion, as well as cartographic principles.
  • Good knowledge of GIS programming languages commonly used in the development of GIS programs, database management, and Web APIs.
  • At least 3 years of experience planning, designing, and implementing GIS projects and preparing reports of findings; operating, applying, and programming GIS software products in a work environment.
