Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Systems Administrator to join our team at GovCIO. As a key member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for reviewing and remediating ACAS scans, supporting general RMF activities, and ensuring the security of our programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple closed environments, ensuring patching, vulnerability remediation, and STIGing for assigned programs.
  • Plan, implement, monitor, and upgrade security measures for the protection of program data, systems, and networks.
  • Collaborate with intrusion analysts to identify, report on, and coordinate remediation of cyberthreats to the client.
  • Conduct monthly vulnerability scans and assessments of servers, and address findings and mitigations.
  • Respond to assigned tasks, incidents, and service requests.
  • Perform system administration duties and functions.
  • Provide technical support of Red Hat and Windows server systems, performing Tier II and Tier III administration, troubleshooting, and root-cause-analysis activities.

Qualifications

  • High School with 9+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • Must have or obtain IAT level II certification within 90 days of hire (i.e., CompTIA Security+(CE))
  • Must have or obtain Computing Environment certification within 90 days of hire (i.e., AWS, Linux, Windows)
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of DOD Security, RMF, and/or NIST Policies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers and internal cross-functional teams
  • Experience with virtual and/or cloud-based servers and applications
  • Excellent technical documentation and reporting skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Certification(s) in relevant technologies
