Perioperative Support Specialist

Job Title: Scrub Technician I, Outpatient Pavilion
Purpose & Scope:
The OR Scrub Technician plays a vital role in the patient's perioperative experience. This role involves preparing the OR environment, equipment, instrumentation, and supply utilization. The Scrub Technician works in concert with the circulating RN and adheres to the philosophy and goals of the department.
Education & Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. One year of scrub experience is preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
Licensed Surgical Technologist by the Virginia Department of Health Professions is required. Certification in Surgical Technology is preferred. BLS certification is required.
