We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Account Representative to join our team at PIH Health. As a key member of our insurance billing team, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate billing and follow-up of unpaid Medicare inpatient and outpatient accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and follow-up on Medicare claims to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement
  • Identify and resolve credit balances and respond to help letters
  • Meet and exceed productivity volume and standards of work as defined within departmental policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the Insurance Billing Manager to ensure compliance with CMS billing requirements and regulations
Requirements
  • High School Graduate
  • 1+ years' experience in hospital Medicare billing and follow-up
  • Knowledge of CMS billing requirements and regulations
  • Familiarity with commercial third-party billing requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work remotely with reliable internet connectivity
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word for appeal submission to payers
