Role Summary: The primary responsibility of the Cardiovascular Surgery Program Coordinator is to support the Surgical Director in the development and management of the cardiovascular program and its associated services. This role involves providing leadership and fostering collaboration among physicians, ancillary staff, and administrative personnel to uphold the standards of surgical practice within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Clinical Nurse Manager/Director.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
□ Associate's degree or equivalent is required
□ Bachelor's degree is preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in open heart surgery is required.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Licenses:
Surgical Tech Certification or First Assist Certification (CST/FA) or RN is required upon hire.
Competency:
Ability to perform Arterial Line Placement within 6 months of hire.
