Position Overview:

ECS Limited is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Associate Principal within our Columbia field services division. This position offers a vibrant work atmosphere where you will take charge of ensuring quality and overseeing performance across various projects. Your expertise will be essential in consulting with clients and project teams to achieve project objectives and timelines from initial proposal to final evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple CMT projects, conduct thorough reviews of technical reports, and prepare as well as assess proposals while aiding in departmental management and financial oversight.
  • Deliver technical guidance and support to CMT personnel through mentorship, training, and professional development initiatives.
  • Actively mentor junior project managers and contribute to the overall growth of your team, collaborating with other managers and internal recruiters for staffing decisions.
  • Facilitate or participate in project meetings with clients, providing technical solutions to issues as needed.
  • Effectively promote our services while fostering new client relationships and maintaining existing ones.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in fields such as Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology; note that degrees in Construction Management and certain Technology disciplines may not qualify.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including drafting, reviewing, and approving technical documentation.
  • Professional licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG).
  • Designation as a senior reviewer at your current or previous organization; details on ECS senior reviewer policy will be discussed during the interview or offer stage.
  • Maintain all necessary licenses and certifications to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and insurance if driving on behalf of ECS.
  • Strong marketing acumen with the ability to build and sustain client relationships.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to safety and professionalism.
  • In-depth knowledge of CMT principles, applications, and ASTM laboratory standards.
  • Outstanding leadership and decision-making abilities, capable of collaborating effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
