Position Summary: The Senior Electrical Engineer will undertake various project and task-level responsibilities, focusing on the design, development, analysis, and manufacturing support of power supplies and power conversion systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative electrical designs tailored to customer specifications and Rantec standards.
  • Enhance existing electrical designs by analyzing current products and integrating design improvements.
  • Assist in bid and proposal efforts.
  • Create testing protocols for design validation and final product acceptance.
  • Support manufacturing processes by ensuring designs adhere to IPC standards and Design for Manufacturability principles.
  • Conduct product performance and compliance testing.
  • Formulate plans and timelines for product design and development initiatives, while managing program budgets.
  • Engage in product realization activities, including design reviews and engineering meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in analog design, particularly in switching power supplies, with proficiency in using electronic test equipment for troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of root cause analysis and effective corrective actions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of technical standards, including:
    • Electrical and mechanical requirements, MIL-STDs, and industry standards such as J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610.
    • Power switching methodologies.
    • Control systems and thermal analysis.
    • Component modeling and packaging considerations.
    • Network simulation and reliability aspects related to power conversion.
    • Environmental impacts on electronic systems and magnetics design.
    • EMI emissions.

Compensation: Salary range is $116,480 - $151,424 annually.
