About the Role

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for leading environmental projects and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead environmental projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and implement environmental plans and strategies to meet client needs.
  • Conduct field studies and surveys to assess environmental conditions and identify potential impacts.
  • Prepare and submit environmental reports and documentation to regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing environmental regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an environmental science or related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in environmental project management, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Proven track record of leading environmental projects and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Basic or working knowledge of Southeastern flora and fauna.
  • Experience permitting natural resources projects in the Southeast and working with state and federal resource agencies.
  • Familiarity with fundamentals of environmental impact assessment and experience preparing NEPA documentation.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based software applications and GPS/GIS field data-collection software.
