About the Role:

CesiumAstro is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our mechanical team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for our satellite and spacecraft products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for satellite and spacecraft products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mechanical designs meet requirements and specifications
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and designs
  • Present engineering design review materials to customers and leadership team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in design and analysis of electronics packaging
  • Experience with professional mechanical and FEA CAD tools, such as Solidworks Simulation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Aerospace industry design, development, and qualification
