Life Sciences Research and Development Specialist

Stanford University is seeking a highly skilled Life Sciences Research and Development Professional to join our team. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for conducting complex research projects, developing new research protocols, and collaborating with colleagues to advance our understanding of life sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent research projects, including designing and implementing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and presenting findings to colleagues and academic conferences.
- Develop and maintain laboratory protocols, including developing new methods and procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to advance research projects, including providing technical expertise and guidance.
- Supervise and train laboratory staff, including providing oversight and direction on techniques and project work.
- Manage laboratory workflow, including inventory of supplies and ordering materials as needed.
- Master's degree in a related scientific field, such as molecular biology or immunology.
- Two years of relevant work experience in a research laboratory setting.
- Strong background in life sciences, including molecular biology and immunology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
This position requires frequent standing, walking, and use of fine motor skills. Occasional sitting, kneeling, and crawling may be required. The employee must be able to work in an environment where animals are used for teaching and research, and may be exposed to hazardous materials and infectious diseases. Personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and shoes, protective clothing, and gloves, may be required. Extended or unusual work hours may be required based on research requirements and business needs.
