Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Manager to join our Amazon Connect team. As a Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development of new and existing systems, designing and architecting cloud-based contact centers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of new and existing systems, including designing and architecting cloud-based contact centers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products
  • Develop and implement software development best practices and standards
  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and manage teams of software engineers
  • Partner with product management teams to collect requirements and describe software product features
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of engineering experience
  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 3+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and managing teams of software engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market.
