Position Overview

The Field Service Engineer plays a crucial role within the Customer Support Division, tasked with the installation, upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of Makino machinery at client sites. We are looking for professionals who prioritize customer satisfaction and possess exceptional service skills. Overtime is available after 8 hours, and a company vehicle is provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to client locations to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machinery while offering technical expertise and support.
  • Leverage machine tool manuals, technical documentation, and both internal and external resources to investigate machine-related issues and identify solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding machine problems, repairs, installations, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Develop and uphold a comprehensive understanding of the machine tool sector and the Makino product range.
  • Educate clients on the operational aspects of the machinery.
Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical repair, maintenance, and programming with a CNC machine tool manufacturer or distributor.
  • Strong technical, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
