Job Overview

Columbia University is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Coordinator to oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing within the Department of Medicine. Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is $62,400 - $70,000 per year. Columbia University offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities
As a Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting the Payroll Manager with labor distribution, generating and distributing payroll reports, reconciling payroll for new hires and salary changes, and serving as a compliance and quality control specialist for payroll and HR transactions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience, exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, and proficiency in business software applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). A minimum of two years of relevant administrative experience and knowledge of Columbia's payroll systems are preferred.
