Role Overview:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to fulfill the mission and objectives of FMSC. This position is crucial in cultivating a healthy, Christ-centered organizational culture, defining strategic initiatives, and spearheading fundraising efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivating a Healthy Organizational Culture: Lead by example, embodying the Christian values and mission of FMSC. Foster an environment of respect, integrity, transparency, and collaboration among staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.
- Defining and Executing Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with the Board of Directors and senior leadership to craft a compelling strategic vision. Translate this vision into actionable plans that align with the organization’s mission and long-term objectives.
- Fundraising Strategy Development: Create and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, focusing on donor cultivation and special events. Build and maintain strong relationships with individual and institutional donors.
- Financial Oversight: Manage financial resources effectively to ensure fiscal sustainability. Work with the Board of Directors to secure funding for essential projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees and certifications are preferred.
- Over 10 years of leadership and management experience, ideally within a nonprofit context.
- Proven track record of fostering a positive organizational culture.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and planning capabilities, with a knack for translating vision into actionable plans.
- Strong expertise in fundraising and organizational growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid financial acumen and effective budget management skills.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive attitude.
