Job Summary

We are seeking a Caregiver and Support Specialist to join our team. As a Caregiver and Support Specialist, you will work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, and behavioral challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support and care to our participants, enabling them to live a fulfilling life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and Care: Provide support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, and behavioral challenges.
  • Develop Relationships: Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve, understanding their needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Assist with Daily Activities: Assist individuals with daily activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Encourage Independence: Encourage individuals to be as independent as possible, supporting them in their daily lives.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Document Progress: Document progress, challenges, and successes in the individual's care plan.
Requirements
  • Education: No high school diploma required.
  • Experience: No experience required.
  • Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
  • Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
  • Vehicle: Driver's license preferred but not required.
