Direct Support Professional

Caregiver, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide support and care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Augusta, GA.
This is a fulfilling role where you will help individuals lead their unique lives with dignity, independence, and inclusion. You will facilitate daily living activities, provide direct support, and aid in mobility as needed. As a Primary Person (P2), you will ensure the wellbeing of the consumers at all times.
The salary for this position is $11.00 per hour, with opportunities for bonuses. We offer a range of benefits, including free virtual doctor visits, discounted prescription cards, and tuition reimbursement. Our company culture values family, growth, and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dining skills, housekeeping, social skills, and community access.
- Provide direct support and assistance in training activities.
- Aid in mobility, teach housekeeping skills, and promote social skills during meals.
- Administer medications and treatments according to company policy.
- Participate in in-service training sessions and serve as a role model and mentor.
- Complete data collection, observation notes, and daily reports.
Qualifications:
- A high school education or its equivalent is required.
- Some previous experience in supporting/assisting those with disabilities is preferred.
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
