About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Patient Transport Specialist to join our team at Oceans Healthcare. As a vital member of our transportation services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support during transportation, adhering to strict safety regulations and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with nursing staff, referral sources, and patient families.
  • Collaborate with the Transportation Coordinator to establish efficient schedules and ensure timely pickups and drop-offs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of experience working with psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in challenging situations.
Salary Range

$45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
