Psychiatric Transportation Coordinator

Oceans Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation services to patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting patients to various locations, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the journey. You will work closely with our healthcare staff to ensure seamless transportation services and maintain a safe and professional standard for patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee patient activities and ensure their safety during transportation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless transportation services.
- Conduct regular vehicle checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Document patient observations and communicate with referral sources and patient families as needed.
Requirements:
A high school graduate or equivalent is preferred, with at least 6 months of experience working with psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting. The ideal candidate must be able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions. They should also possess strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work under close supervision.
Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year.
