About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport. This individual will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive high-quality care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of radiologic technology principles, and the ability to adapt to changing situations.

Key Responsibilities

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will perform a variety of tasks, including:
  • Verifying physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Utilizing radiology information systems to facilitate patient care
  • Explaining procedures to patients and their families
  • Operating imaging equipment to complete procedures according to protocol
  • Reviewing images to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met


Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications:
  • A completion of a Radiologic Technology program from an accredited school
  • An American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry eligibility or certification
  • A current license to practice in the state of Louisiana
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association


Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development. Additionally, we offer a generous sign-on bonus to attract top talent to our organization. Estimated annual salary: $72,500.
