Job Summary

The Precision Control Actuation Systems (PCAS) department at Raytheon Careers is seeking a skilled Servo Controls Engineer to develop and implement algorithms in various electromechanical assemblies. This role involves working with the Autopilot team to create algorithms in Matlab/Simulink, collaborating with mechanical and electrical design engineers, and vendors to optimize hardware capabilities. Additionally, the successful candidate will perform hands-on hardware and software verification testing in the lab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement algorithms in Matlab/Simulink for electromechanical assemblies
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical design engineers and vendors to optimize hardware capabilities
  • Perform hands-on hardware and software verification testing in the lab
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related science field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date
Preferred Qualifications
  • Classical Control Theory: PID, Nyquist, Bode, Root Locus
  • Modern Control Theory: Full-State Feedback, State Estimation
  • Digital Control
  • Familiarity with electric motors (primarily BLDC type)
  • Software Skills: Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, Python
