Atlantic Group: Estimator Position

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in estimating high-rise (10 stories and above) renovation and restoration projects. This position requires full-time office attendance and offers substantial growth opportunities, with direct reporting to the President of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for high-rise renovation and restoration projects primarily located in New York City.
  • Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to accurately assess project costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information for precise estimates.
  • Identify and evaluate potential project risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, materials, and construction methods to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
  • Assist in preparing bid proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Monitor project costs and provide ongoing support to project teams to ensure adherence to budgets.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating for high-rise renovation and restoration projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
