Role:
This role is essential in supporting our Front of House operations and significantly contributes to the daily services of our restaurant. During peak hours, the individual will undertake various responsibilities as directed by the Restaurant General Manager. The Front of House support will alternate between hosting, expediting, and providing floor assistance, requiring self-motivation and the capability to prioritize and manage tasks independently. Key responsibilities include expediting orders, delivering meals, clearing tables, and attending to customer needs. All aspects of this position are crucial to enhancing the customer experience, thus a strong emphasis on hospitality and effective communication skills is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Timely expediting of food orders as they arrive at the service window.
- Final garnishing of dishes as needed, adhering to our presentation standards, and delivering meals to the appropriate tables and customers.
- Assisting serving staff by refilling non-alcoholic beverages and watering tables when necessary.
- Packaging takeout orders and delivering them to guests, bartenders, servers, or hosts.
- Ensuring all items leaving the kitchen meet our plating standards.
- Maintaining a clean working environment in both the Front of House and expo window.
- Clearing restaurant tables promptly.
- Returning clean glassware to the bar and server stations as required.
- Ensuring an adequate supply of plates and flatware is available.
- Monitoring the restaurant floor and tables to maintain cleanliness conducive to effective gameplay.
- Spending significant time standing and interacting directly with customers.
- Addressing general customer inquiries as a representative of our brand, both in person and via phone.
- Welcoming customers on their terms and determining the best way to assist them.
- Monitoring key customer entry points.
- Utilizing an iPad to manage our waiting list and educate customers on our system.
- Seating customers when tables are ready and ensuring servers are informed of new arrivals.
- Observing the restaurant floor and notifying appropriate staff of tables needing assistance and helping with clearing.
- Following up with customers as necessary if there is a delay in service.
- Maintaining a clean working environment.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid State Food Handlers permit required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the food or customer service sector.
- Ability to learn and adhere to standard procedures.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Capability to manage diverse personalities in a high-stress environment.
- Ability to work well both in a team and independently.
- Willingness to take direction from multiple sources.
- Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to delivering quality service.
- Ability to collaborate with others to resolve issues and develop solutions.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Benefits:
- Paid Time Off: Accrual of 1 hour of paid time off (PTO) for every 13.5 hours worked, up to a maximum of 80 hours annually.
