Job Overview

Base is seeking a highly motivated Sales Manager to lead our efforts in prospecting and selling to port service providers, ship charterers, and agencies. In this role, you'll be responsible for identifying and engaging with key stakeholders within port operations, selling our solutions that streamline vendor management, service request handling, and cost management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and identify potential clients within port service providers, ship charterers, and agencies.
  • Develop and execute a tailored sales strategy to build and grow accounts.
  • Present and demonstrate Base's software solutions, emphasizing how they address specific industry pain points.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers to drive new business.
  • Work collaboratively with the C-Suite to refine sales strategies and feedback loops.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience selling into maritime or logistics companies (sales rep, BDR, or account executive).
  • Deep understanding of port operations and logistics or willingness to learn.
  • Resourceful and adaptable, able to thrive in a small, dynamic team.
  • Strong affinity with technology and eagerness to learn.
  • Desire to grow your career, working closely with C-Suite leadership.

Bonus Requirements:

  • Experience with modern GTM outreach tactics (cold email, direct mail, LinkedIn automation).
  • Knowledge of industry-relevant data sources and insights.
  • Prior experience in a funded tech company.
