Baptist Health is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician Automation Specialist to join our Central Pharmacy team in LaGrange, KY.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with technology departments to ensure seamless integration of automation systems.
- Manage and maintain automation equipment, including placement, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Provide subject-matter expertise for new technology assessments and usability.
- Support medication library management and inventory optimization.
- Ensure accurate barcode scanning and data synchronization across pharmacy systems.
- Coordinate maintenance and service calls for automation equipment.
- Perform workflow assessments and optimizations.
- Assist with controlled substance surveillance and audits.
- Maintain quality assurance reports and develop training materials for staff.
- Nationally certified as a pharmacy technician.
- Registration with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
- At least 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience or similar experience.
- Pharmacy automation experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Omnicell/Parata, EPIC, and other pharmacy-related technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
