  • Offering ongoing guidance and consultation to staff regarding behavioral issues.
  • Conducting or coordinating psycho-diagnostic evaluations for students on a regular basis.

You will work within a distinctive interdisciplinary team that delivers educational, vocational, and residential services.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Participating in interdisciplinary evaluations and serving as a liaison with external mental health professionals.
  • Providing crisis intervention and facilitating referrals to specialists as necessary.
  • Developing and executing behavior management plans tailored to individual students.
  • Consulting with families on approved behavior management strategies.
  • Contributing to research initiatives related to individuals with visual impairments.
  • Creating or modifying assessment tools for use with visually impaired individuals.
  • Engaging in program meetings, case reviews, and IEP discussions, and preparing progress reports.
  • Delivering formal and informal training sessions for staff members.
  • Participating in the evaluation of candidates for program placement.
  • Contributing to the field through workshops, presentations, and research publications.
  • Supervising field placements and mentoring students as requested.
  • Documenting observations and assessments of students and maintaining accurate records.
  • Compiling statistical data regarding service delivery as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree from a National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) accredited institution in school psychology is required.
  • Massachusetts DESE Certification as a School Psychologist is mandatory, along with a minimum of three years of experience in the field.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package that prioritizes your well-being, including a retirement plan with employer contributions, tuition reimbursement from the start, professional development opportunities, personal days, paid time off, and sick leave.
