Job Summary:

As a Medical Office LPN Float Team Member at Nuvance Health Med Practice CT, you will play a vital role in providing primary medical care to patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians or physician assistants with patient exams, obtaining medical histories, and providing direct patient care such as vaccinations and wound care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for medical exams and assist physicians or physician assistants as needed.
  • Collect and analyze patient specimens, and instruct patients on preventive care and medication management.
  • Provide direct patient care, including vaccinations, wound care, and medication administration.
  • Communicate with patients and families to provide test results and relay physician instructions.
  • Perform organizational responsibilities to achieve the Practice's and WCMG's missions through quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
  • Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
  • Computer skills/data entry.
  • Skilled in obtaining accurate patient vitals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience in a medical setting.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages.
  • Phlebotomy and EKG skills.

Work Environment:

This position is located at Summit-100 Reserve Rd, and the work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:30pm. The department is Float Team, and the salary range is $ Hourly. Nuvance Health is an EOE, including disability/vets.
