The Patient Care Support Specialist reports directly to the Center Administrator and is responsible for managing appointment scheduling, patient registration, cashiering, and handling incoming calls, along with other administrative tasks. This key position offers essential front office support.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients upon arrival and manage standard wait times effectively.
  • Conduct check-in and check-out procedures, including verifying patient demographics, insurance details, and completing necessary pre-authorizations.
  • Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles, providing receipts as required.
  • Oversee the cashier box and ensure daily deposits align with company policies.
  • Handle phone inquiries and schedule appointments accordingly.
  • Respond to telephone calls, redirect as necessary, assist callers with inquiries, and take messages when needed.
  • Maintain and manage medical records, ensuring proper filing, scanning, and preparation for scheduling.
  • Ensure all correspondence is appropriately scanned and filed, process requests for medical record releases, and maintain accurate logs.
  • Establish and nurture effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
