Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient scheduling and appointments across multiple phone lines.
- Collect and maintain new patient information; track all patient referrals.
- Provide information to patients; facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
- Document and send reports to physicians while maintaining a log of all correspondence.
- Process payments and verify insurance coverage.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail; ensure proper distribution.
- Send necessary paperwork to billing entities.
- Coordinate all scheduling and related communications.
- Answer calls, serve as a patient liaison, and address inquiries from current and prospective patients.
- Schedule evaluations, re-evaluations, appointment reminders, and cancellations.
- Gather new patient intake data; monitor clinic referrals.
- Fax reports to physicians and maintain a record of incoming documents.
- Verify insurance details and track visits covered by insurance; collect copayments.
- Monitor mail; keep track of Explanations of Benefits sent to billing companies.
- Communicate with management and clinical staff regarding patient scheduling and arrivals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask; detail-oriented.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity, and empathy for individuals in distress.
- High school graduate or GED certificate.
- Current driver's license and dependable vehicle.
