Key Responsibilities

  • Manage patient scheduling and appointments across multiple phone lines.
  • Collect and maintain new patient information; track all patient referrals.
  • Provide information to patients; facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Document and send reports to physicians while maintaining a log of all correspondence.
  • Process payments and verify insurance coverage.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail; ensure proper distribution.
  • Send necessary paperwork to billing entities.
  • Coordinate all scheduling and related communications.
  • Answer calls, serve as a patient liaison, and address inquiries from current and prospective patients.
  • Schedule evaluations, re-evaluations, appointment reminders, and cancellations.
  • Gather new patient intake data; monitor clinic referrals.
  • Fax reports to physicians and maintain a record of incoming documents.
  • Verify insurance details and track visits covered by insurance; collect copayments.
  • Monitor mail; keep track of Explanations of Benefits sent to billing companies.
  • Communicate with management and clinical staff regarding patient scheduling and arrivals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multitask; detail-oriented.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity, and empathy for individuals in distress.
  • High school graduate or GED certificate.
  • Current driver's license and dependable vehicle.
