Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is a key member of our team at Actalent, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our production facilities. This role requires a strong leader who can direct and manage plant operations, ensuring safe and efficient production and processing of quality precast concrete products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage plant operations to achieve production goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and development to direct reports, ensuring safety compliance, quality standards, and operating performance.
  • Coordinate with other plant supervisors and management to foster teamwork and achieve established goals.
  • Implement cost-effective systems of control over operating expenditures and workforce.
  • Supervise the proper operation and maintenance of company assets, facilities, and equipment.
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish company goals and objectives, promoting safety as the top goal and a core company value.
  • Incorporate organization, consistency, and cleanliness among plant personnel.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • At least 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent math and problem-solving skills, and ability to think outside the box.
  • Strong working knowledge of computers and software applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours according to production and operational demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial/manufacturing equipment and operations.
  • Experience with industrial manufacturing methods and process improvement programs and procedures required.
  • Knowledge of concrete batching techniques and processes strongly preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of state and federal employment, safety, and environmental laws.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety.
