Job Overview

Cleric is an innovative AI-driven solution designed to autonomously manage and resolve challenges in production settings. Utilizing a large language model (LLM) based reasoning engine, Cleric interprets and implements solutions to production issues, even those it encounters for the first time.

Our vision is to enable engineers to focus on software development while Cleric efficiently oversees the production environment. We aim to create self-managing, self-repairing, and self-optimizing software—the ultimate goal in our field.

Position Summary

We are seeking an AI Engineering Intern to enhance our team and improve the capabilities of our AI agent, Cleric.

In this role, you will contribute to the development of agent-based frameworks that enhance our decision-making speed and quality. Your efforts will help us create a product that is robust, dependable, and continuously evolving.

You will integrate cutting-edge AI methodologies to develop a product that can swiftly respond to incidents, reason with high accuracy, provide precise solutions, and learn from its experiences.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The following qualities would make you a great fit:

  • A solid foundation in software engineering with proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and Go.
  • A passion for building with generative AI and a proven track record of delivering projects, whether through formal education or self-directed learning.
  • Knowledge of creating evaluation systems for agent-based frameworks, including problem modeling, data collection, and agent optimization.
  • Familiarity with the latest tools for developing generative AI products, encompassing evaluation, retrieval, vector search, and knowledge graphs.
  • Strong understanding of prompt engineering to effectively interact with language models for desired outcomes.
  • Experience in integrating, tuning, or training foundational models.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the product team to enhance the performance and accuracy of our LLM-based reasoning engine, memory module, evaluation stack, and simulation environment.
  • Apply the latest advancements in AI to both our team and product, ensuring Cleric remains a top-tier Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) partner.
  • Assist in iterating towards product-market fit in a dynamic, open-ended environment.
  • Immerse yourself in the needs, challenges, and aspirations of our end users (engineers with operational responsibilities).
