- Manage and monitor service department performance to meet and exceed established targets for sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all repair and maintenance work, adhering to company standards and industry regulations.
- Train, develop, and mentor service technicians to ensure high-quality workmanship and efficiency in completing repairs and maintenance.
- Monitor and control inventory levels and expenses to ensure profitability.
- Stay informed and up-to-date on industry developments and changes in technology and share knowledge with team members and customers.
- Drive sales and improve service department profitability through effective marketing and customer outreach strategies.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive service management, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and sales skills.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures.
- Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic equipment and software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be willing to work weekends and extended hours, as needed.
