Job Description

We are seeking an experienced controls engineer to own the design of system architectures including HMI, PLC, Motion, safety, and ancillary systems at the project / platform level, ensuring technical, cost, and timeline objectives are achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with Electrical and Mechanical engineering resources on the project team to ensure machinery and automation platforms deliver against project objectives
  • Executing detailed design and programming of advanced packaging machinery & automation, including the integration of industrial hotmelt application systems and advanced vision systems
  • Maintaining complete and scalable project documentation for electrical schematics, BOM, I/O's and subsystem programs
  • Supporting the project team in safety certification of the project / platform, CE, UL, CSA, TUV, etc.

About the Team:

The Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging group works backwards from deep customer insights to develop solutions that seamlessly integrate into brownfield and greenfield deployments with safety as a top priority.

We are committed to reducing waste and packaging wherever possible and transitioning from single-use plastics to curbside recyclable paper-based materials.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in advanced motion control platforms integrated design and programming
  • 5+ years experience with motion control software (Rockwell, Rexroth, Beckhoff, B&R, Siemens)
  • Bachelors Degree in Automation, Controls, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
