Job Summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers. You will be the first point of contact for patients and families, and will be responsible for ensuring that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Manage patient flow and ensure that patients are seen in a timely manner
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information
  • Process patient payments and handle billing inquiries
  • Assist with patient registration and scheduling
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology
