Patient Service Representative

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and their caregivers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth registration process.
Key Responsibilities- Register and pre-register patients in our database, collecting accurate demographic and insurance information
- Verify insurance and scan copies of insurance cards into our system
- Properly complete and explain all required registration forms
- Manage patient valuables in accordance with hospital policy and procedure
- Collect copays as required, following cash drawer process
- High school degree plus two years clerical experience required
- Previous healthcare experience and medical terminology preferred
This is a full-time position working onsite at Cayuga Medical Center. The shift is days/evenings flexible.
CompensationThe pay range for this position is $19.50 to $23.00 per hour.
