The Assistant General Manager is a key member of the Troon International team, responsible for supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the property. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of all aspects of the club in the absence of the General Manager
  • Support the hiring, development, and supervision of key management employees
  • Produce daily reports related to rounds, sales, and other key performance indicators
  • Assist in the coordination of banquets, weddings, and golf outings
  • Provide exceptional customer service to arriving guests
  • Assist in the reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges
  • Oversee the care and maintenance of the property's physical assets and facilities
  • Support the management of the Pro-Shop and Food & Beverage operation
  • Develop and implement creative strategies to increase revenues
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or other senior management

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in the golf and/or food & beverage industry
  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • Supervisory and staff development experience
  • Proficient in Excel, Access, Word, and POS systems
  • Working knowledge of club accounting
  • Strong business aptitude and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons

Working Conditions

The Assistant General Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, often requiring long hours and extended periods of standing, walking, and lifting. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities is essential.
