Position Overview:
This role involves a comprehensive understanding of revenue collection and compliance within the federal framework. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of analytical and evaluative methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative, to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilize a broad spectrum of analytical techniques to assess and improve tax compliance initiatives.
2. Collaborate in identifying and developing actionable plans to resolve technical issues related to revenue collection.
3. Present analytical findings and negotiate solutions to complex challenges.
4. Employ specialized software tools to manage and analyze extensive datasets, including but not limited to ENTITY, ICS, SQL, Excel, and Business Objects.
5. Analyze Collection Activity Reports (CAR) and other relevant systems to provide insightful program feedback.
6. Identify trends and deficiencies impacting revenue operations, including troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues.
7. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Internal Revenue Code and associated regulations.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must have:
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in federal service.
- Experience in tax collection, investigations of federal tax violations, or internal audit functions.
- A proven track record of providing taxpayer assistance and applying comprehensive knowledge of tax regulations.

Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must meet Time in Grade (TIG) requirements and have completed a minimum of 90 days of federal civilian service since their last competitive appointment.
