Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Fairview Park Hospital. Our ICU is a 16-bed unit that provides high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient care, adhering to the hospital's philosophy and objectives.
- Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate all nursing care provided to assigned patients.
- Assess and reassess patient condition, initiate plan of care, and begin discharge planning on admission.
- Maintain and apply current nursing standards and clinical competency, including the National Patient Safety Goals.
- Meet the personal and practical needs of patients and families, using effective communication skills.
- Accept accountability for completion of assignments, demonstrate reliability and dependability, and utilize time and material cost-effectively.
- Continue self-development, provide leadership, and actively participate in Performance Improvement Activities.
Qualifications
- Acute Care or Critical Care experience is strongly preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Georgia RN licensure or compact license.
- Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Certification in specialty area preferred.
