Job Title: Residence Manager

The Residence Manager is a key member of our team at IAHD, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our residences. This role requires a strong leader who can provide guidance, support, and training to our staff while ensuring the overall safety and well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and mentor Assistant Managers, Direct Support Professionals, and consultants to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Ensure all staff receive and maintain required trainings and certifications, and maintain accurate records of their training and certification status.
  • Monitor and maintain financial ledgers, receipts, and funds, including petty cash and individual personal allowance accounts.
  • Conduct regular physical plant inspections and maintain a tracking log of all completed maintenance and repairs.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as designated, and ensure that all agency policies and procedures are implemented and documented.
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of our residents, and ensure they receive quality care and support.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience and knowledge of OPWDD regulations.
  • Associate's degree may be considered with 5 years of experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Skills:
  • Ability to provide direct and situational intervention, including crisis prevention and physical crisis intervention.
  • Valid NY State Driver's License with 6 points or less.
  • Ability to drive a 15-passenger van.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of IRA regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to remain professional at all times.
  • Must be fully vaccinated (COVID-19).

Full-time position available.
