Senior Director Business Development

As a Senior Director Business Development, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients in the clinical research, health sciences, and technology industries. You will have a proven track record of success in sales and business development, with a strong understanding of the life sciences industry.
You will be responsible for designing and delivering powerful solution-driven capabilities and proposal defense presentations in collaboration with clinical and operations personnel. You will also be responsible for creating business opportunities through client needs identification and relationship building, as well as proactively working with customer and project teams to resolve client concerns.
You will make sales calls to prospective new clients to initiate new business relationships and utilize strategies and tactics to persuade prospective sponsors to contract with DSG across all identified solution categories. You will also coordinate the efforts for response to Requests for Proposals/Information and represent DSG at industry-related conferences and trade shows.
As a Solutions Lead, you will act as an internal support and subject matter expert in EDC, providing training curriculum, supporting messaging, and building a knowledge-base across the commercial organization related to DSG solutions.
Key responsibilities will include prospecting for new opportunities, establishing and maintaining excellent rapport with future and current clientele, building compelling solutions and technology offerings, and preparing and organizing sponsor presentations.
You will also develop account/territory strategies, collect critical information for proposal preparation, negotiate and close/book sales opportunities, monitor and track competitor activities, and act as an internal SME for Signal Health Solutions.
Requirements include a minimum of 5 years of success in a business-to-business sales role, with experience in the life sciences industry and selling complex technical project solutions. You will also need excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present customer proposals confidently.
