What You'll Be Doing:

The Construction Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Project Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent. This position involves overseeing subcontractors and team members, coordinating daily operations, and guiding crews in executing assigned tasks. The Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring the safe and proper utilization of tools, equipment, and gear.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Management:

  • Collaborate with the Safety/Environmental Director to uphold the high safety standards of Fransen Pittman on all projects.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and lead weekly safety meetings.
  • Maintain an inventory of personal protective equipment on-site.
Subcontractor Oversight:
  • Ensure subcontractors and vendors meet Fransen Pittman's excellence standards.
  • Guide subcontractors to adhere to the master schedule and proper sequencing.
  • Monitor all subcontractors for compliance with specifications and drawings.
Team Leadership:
  • Facilitate daily morning briefings with team members.
  • Provide guidance on quality policies, standards, and procedures.
General Duties:
  • Manage the stormwater compliance program, including regular audits and documentation.
  • Assist the Project Superintendent with project close-out and building commissioning.
  • Support the Project Superintendent with material orders and take-offs.
  • Ensure inspections are conducted according to project schedules and local regulations, addressing any discrepancies.
  • Aid in preparing accurate monthly equipment and labor projections.
  • Engage actively in preconstruction and subcontractor meetings.
  • Maintain detailed daily logs documenting daily activities.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained and arrange for their pickup when necessary.
  • Treat clients, representatives, trade partners, and design professionals with respect and professionalism.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong communication skills with the Project Superintendent and team members.
  • Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Bluebeam.
  • Familiarity with inspection processes and procedures.
  • Capability to read and execute project schedules.
  • Understanding of subcontractor scopes of work and specifications.
  • Knowledge of local stormwater regulations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification is required; OSHA 30-hour certification is a plus.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to work safely with sharp tools and power equipment.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and terrains.
  • Good manual dexterity, balance, and hand-eye coordination.
